MMA & Grappling
Sharpen the Body. Forge the Spirit.

WHAT IS GRAPPLING?
Grappling refers to a range of techniques used in martial arts such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Sambo, and Wrestling to control an opponent through holds, locks, and positional dominance.
It can be divided into two main categories:
-
Standing Grappling: throws, takedowns, and clinching.
-
Ground Grappling: pins, submissions, and sweeps.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Grappling is both an effective form of self-defense and a rewarding practice for recreational athletes. Beyond its practical applications, it provides a full-body workout that improves strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. It also develops mental focus, problem-solving skills, and confidence—while offering a fun way to connect with a like-minded community.
MMA CLASSES AT JIMMY’S GYM
In addition to grappling, Jimmy’s Gym hosts MMA classes every Saturday from 11:00 to 12:00.
MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. Originating from early free-fighting competitions, it has evolved into a highly regulated discipline under UFC rules. At Jimmy’s Gym, we apply these rules in a safe and sporting manner to minimize the risk of injury.
Our classes cover every aspect of MMA, from takedowns and ground control to holds, grips, and practical applications of striking and grappling.
Whether you’re curious to try for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, you are very welcome to join us.
