Thai Kick Boxing
Strike with Purpose-Train with Tradition

Around 30 years ago, the Tjakai movement was born at the Anton Geesink School in Utrecht—a dynamic fusion of martial arts combining elements of Kempo, Karate, Judo, and predominantly Muay Thai (80%).
Tjakai was founded by a group of experienced black belts, including Dr. Roy Matina, Frank Lopman, Menno Albouts, and Walter Janssen.
With over 35 years of experience, Walter Janssen now leads powerful and precise kickboxing training at Jimmy’s Gym. He holds a 5th Dan in Tjakai, is a licensed A-level kickboxing trainer with the NKBB, and served as an international referee for the WPKL for over a decade.
As an authorized examiner, Walter is also certified to award Dan rankings.
Men, women, and youth are all welcome—whether you're training for fun, fitness, or ready to step into competition, you'll be learning from one of the best.
Ladies Kick Thai Boxing
Muay Thai is more than just a workout—it’s a powerful way to train your body and mind. At our gym, more and more women are stepping onto the mats, drawn by the high energy, strong community, and visible progress.
It’s a full-body discipline that improves endurance, sharpens reflexes, and builds inner strength. And best of all? It’s incredibly fun and addictive.
Whether your goal is fitness, self-defense, or stepping into competition, Muay Thai gives you the tools—and the confidence—to go for it.

Youth Thai Boxing
Thai boxing is hugely popular among young people—many are inspired by the champions they see on TV and want to learn the sport for themselves.
At Jimmy’s Gym, we provide a safe and structured environment where kids can train, grow, and have fun. Our youth classes focus on building strong foundations in both defensive and offensive techniques, using punches and kicks with proper form and control.
It's scientifically proven that children who participate in sports between the ages of 8 and 12 gain long-term advantages in coordination, motor skills, reaction time, and overall fitness. During this key developmental stage, stimulating the central nervous system through movement helps children grow stronger—physically and mentally.
Of course, safety is our top priority. For young children, kicks and punches to the head are strictly prohibited. We focus on discipline, respect, and controlled technique, making Thai boxing a fun and empowering activity for every child
Thai – Kick Boxing Competition
At Jimmy’s Gym, we offer the chance for dedicated students to enter the world of competition.
If you train consistently, show progress, and have the right attitude, you may be invited to join our competition team. From there, we’ll help arrange matches and guide you through your journey as a fighter.
Bouts are always matched by age, weight, and experience level—ensuring that every fight is fair, safe, and suited to your development.
Whether you're dreaming of becoming a champion or just want to test your skills, the path starts here.
